Beginning with the new academic year, all the public vocational schools across the country will offer IT courses. The new curriculum, developed with the support of the , contains “innovative elements focused on developing digital skills among students”, IPN reports.
Silviu Gincu, department head at the Ministry of Education, said the introduction of the IT classes is one of the measures of the vocational education reform that aims to modernize it. “Starting September, all the students in vocational schools will have access to quality IT training so that they can gain the digital skills they will need to find a job”, said Silviu Gincu.
Adrian Stoica, team manager at the EU Technical Assistance Project, said the introduction of the new course in vocational education represents a precondition for further EU funding to support the education reform.
