The current government is corrupt and the citizens of the Republic of Moldova are to blame for this because they didn’t vote correctly, Communist leader Vladimir Voronin said in the program “In Depth” on PRO TV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.

”We have a corrupt, mafiotic and bandit-like government. It is the government of the PDM, which took under control all the state institutions, the police, the justice sector, the prosecution service. It is a government that stole the US$ 1 billion and that bought the 14 traitors from the PCRM for €5 million so as to have a majority of votes in Parliament. The PDM is helped to govern by the PSRM. When the PDM does not manage to do something in Parliament, those from the PSRM raise the hand. They work very well at the local level and make effort to convince the people to support them and to vote for them. But they work badly at the central level and we thus have poverty and he people flee the country owing to poverty,” stated the Communist leader.

According to Voronin, the people with the right to vote who allow to be bought for 200-300 lei and then complain about their hard life are to blame. “Regrettably, we have this government and this mafia owing to our voters’ mentality. If there was an international wailing competition, the Moldovans would rank first,” he stated.

The chairman of the PCRM leveled accusations against the European leaders, who support the current government of Moldova. “I’m concerned about the so-called assistance from outside the Republic of Moldova. I wrote to European organizations. I sent letters to 29 Heads of State, informing that the Constitution is being violated in the Republic of Moldova, but no answer followed,” he noted.

Vladimir Voronin said they do not fight corruption in Moldova, but pretend to be doing this. “What kind of fight against corruption is there when people are jailed in a large number? The fight against corruption should start from the law and this should be conducted so that no corruption remains,” he said.
