The work as part of the Opposition means real distress and suffering for the leader of the Communists Party (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin. He said the psychological discomfort he experiences derives from the events taking place in the country as he does not have instruments to influence things as he considers rights. Vladimir Voronin spoke about this during the TV channel “In Profunzime” (“In Depth”) on March 22, Info-Prim Neo reports. The former head of state said the situation in Moldova worsened after April 5, when the 'golden vote' could not be found. He said the three parties – the PL, PLDM and AMN – made common cause as they were supported by external forces in their intention not to negotiate with the PCRM. Moreover, Voronin said that some of the MPs of the three parities took their families out of the country when members of the PCRM approached them for talks. “It is not the blame of the PCRM. Maybe we did not offer enough money or were not very convincing, but they did not want to cooperate with us because they were afraid,” the Communist leader said. He did not react to the moderator's reply that after the April 5 elections he said he will negotiate with no party and that the people were not informed about steps taken by the PCRM to initiate negotiations with the then Opposition. Vladimir Voronin stressed that the PCRM will never accept a dialogue with the present government as they demand that he quit as party leader. “Only the members of the PCRM can raise the issue of my resignation. We do not need such conditions,” Voronin said. Asked what percentage the PCRM could poll in the possible early elections, Vladimir Voronin said 100%. “Follow the surveys, though I do not trust them much. The surveys will show even better results for us in autumn,” he said, underlining that the PCRM is ready for early legislative elections.
