Vladimir Voronin: PCRM was deprived of 10% of votes

In accordance with the parallel vote counting performed by the PCRM’s staff, at least 10% of the votes were stolen from the Communists, the party’s leader Vladimir Voronin said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. In a news conference on Monday, the Communist leader said the present administration committed many violations in elections, including multiple voting, a large number of cases of voting on additional lists, manipulations at the polling places established abroad. The electoral bureaus of the polling paces drew up the voting reports carelessly. The PCRM will not stage protest rallies, but will appeal to court so as to prove the committed irregularities, when the parallel vote counting is completed and the necessary evidence is collected, Vladimir Voronin said. With 95.6% of the votes counted, the PCRM is in the lead with 40.5% of the vote and may hold 44 seats of MP. It is followed by the PLDM with 28.7% of the poll and, respectively, 31 seats, the PDM with 12.9% of the vote and 15 seats, and the PL with 9.3% of the ballot and 11 seats.
