The way in which politics is now done in Moldova has worsened considerably. Ex-President Vladimir Voronin said the political elite degenerated a lot and problems related to corruption appeared after the April 7, 2009 events, IPN reports.
“I look at this Parliament and feel ashamed. It’s a shame that the persons who sit in Parliament now represent the Parliament of a sovereign state. It is not only their personal problem. It is also the problem of voters. Why do they elect people who in their life didn’t know how to do something and didn’t do something and have no experience? How can one work on a law if they have no idea about what a legislative act is?” Vladimir Voronin stated in the talk show “Fourth Power” on N4 TV channel.
According to the leader of the Party of Communists, after the events of April 7, 2009 problems related to corruption and interests of politicians appeared in Moldova. Moreover, steps against Moldova’s statehood were taken in the period and there were created “ticking bombs” that will explode later.
“Before April 7, there was a development path, while after April 7, 2009 we witnessed all these problems related to the bank theft, corruption, political corruption, corruption in Parliament. Did you hear about something like this when we were in power? Everything started then, on April 7, 2009,” stated the ex-President.
Vladimir Voronin made reference to persons who he presumes organized the events that happened 11 years ago. He said that all those organizers are now history.
“Where are those organizers now? Filat was released from jail. Urecheanu pays to TV channel to be invited to programs at least once in three months. Where is the famous Mihai Ghimpu? Where are all the others who organized those events? Where is now Chirtoacă who had destroyed Chisinau during ten years?,” asked the Communist leader.
A number of nongovernmental organizations consider the “April 7” case is a failed one. In a public call made to the Moldovan authorities and law enforcement agencies, these are recommended to take action to shed light in this case and to stop torturing persons in state custody.
