MP Vladimir Turcan will withdraw from the parliamentary group of the Communists Party (PCRM). He made public his decision during the TV program “In Profunzime” on Monday evening , Info-Prim Neo reports. “The decision of the plenary meeting of the PCRM's Central Committee not to take part in the presidential elections and not to vote for Marian Lupu made me take such a decision,” Turcan said. The MP also said that at the plenary meeting of the Central Committee, his colleagues did not want to listen to his opinion about the impact of new early elections in Moldova. According to Turcan, his position was shared by his colleagues Victor Stepaniuc and Ivan Calin, who, most probably, will also leave the Communist parliamentary group and ultimately the PCRM. He did not want to give details, but stressed that he does not intend to join a party. Vladimir Turcan is a police major general. He had been Minister of the Interior during 1999 - 2001. In 2005, he entered the Parliament on the Communist ticket. Vladimir Turcan is not a member of the PCRM.
