Vladimir Andronachi released from house arrest

Ex-MP Vladimir Andronachi was freed from house arrest under “personal guarantee”. The Buiucani Court of Chisinau took such a decision at the request of four guaranteeing persons, IPN reports.

According to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, the court refused to extend the house arrest for
Vladimir Andronachi, releasing him from house arrest. The decision cannot be challenged.

Vladimir Andronachi is investigated in the bank fraud case, being accused of swindle and money laundering in extremely large amounts by complex participation as organizer, instigator and author in the interests of a criminal organization. Vladimir Andronachi was arrested on November 2, 2022. He faces 8 to 15 years in jail and ban on occupying particular posts or performing a particular activity for a period of up to five years.
