Vlad Turcanu named spokesman for President Nicolae Timofti

The editor-in-chief of Radio Chisinau Vlad Turcanu was appointed as spokesman for the President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti and adviser on communication matters. Vlad Turcanu has told Info-Prim Neo that he is ready to take up the new duties. “I accepted the job because the offer was very good and I’m happy that this post was offered to me,” he stated. On April 19, he announced that he will no longer work for Radio Chisinau. Vlad Turcanu stated work as a journalist in 1992. He presented programs on the public TV channel Moldova 1. In 2001-2004, he worked for Radio Free Europe. He was a member of the Broadcasting Coordination Council in 2006-2008. During the last few years, he served as editor-in-chief at Radio Chisinau.
