Democratic lawmaker Vlad Plahotniuc decided to vacate his seat of MP, but will remain a member of the Democratic Party (PDM) and will continue his political activity. He made the announcement in a pres briefing shortly before the October 28 meeting of the PDM’s National Council, IPN reports.
The Democrat said he renounces the parliamentary immunity as he wants to show that he has nothing to hide. He announced his intention to launch a campaign to come closer to the people from villages.
Ion Stratulat comes next on the PDM’s list of substitute candidates.
