Vlad Plahotniuc: PDM is the richest party on Moldova’s political arena

The deputy chairman of Democratic Party (PDM) Vlad Plahotniuc said that one year after he joined the party he established that this is the richest party on the political arena of Moldova because it has the best members. “Not the money make a party strong, but the quality of its members,” he said in the seventh congress of the party on June 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vlad Plahotniuc said yet that the party’s members are too modest and do not tend to achieve more and more. “A great minus of our party is the communication with the people. We communicate with the voters only through the mass media. The elections are not won only by communication in the election period. We must be permanently in touch with the people,” he stated, stressing that the party must have the courage and ambition to win the next elections and become the party No. 1 in Moldova. According to Vlad Plahotniuc, the fact that the PDM formed an alliance with two right parties ‘diluted’ its left position and it’s time to review their place in the ruling alliance. “We must more insistently promote our social projects and do what’s best for our people. We have a plan of action that reflects everyone’s wishes. The PDM will bring the model of collective administration of a party where the local organizations have the greatest say. A Standing Bureau will be created within the party. The deputy chairmen will coordinate by an area each and will be responsible for the results achieved by the party,” he said. The people in the party will be promoted according to their competence, not subjective criteria. The posts will be occupied by open contest and emphasis will be placed on stimulating work at local level. “The PDM enters a new stage of its political life. We will mark this start by a new face, a new slogan and a new emblem. The future of the PDM starts now,” he stated, adding in the end that Marian Lupu is the only one who can appropriately manage the PDM in continuation as he represented the party with honor and dignity.
