Former PDM leader, Vlad Plahotniuc, who was previously wanted nationally for prosecution, has been declared wanted internationally, according to an Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office press release.
The decision was issued after the fugitive "disregarded the summons issued by the anti-corruption prosecutors and failed to appear before the criminal prosecution body".
Vlad Plahotniuc is criminally investigated in two cases relating to "money laundering" in large proportions by the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office. The criminal cases were linked into a single procedure.
On October 11, the Chișinău Municipal Court, Ciocana headquarters, admitted the request of the anti-corruption prosecutors and issued a 30-day arrest warrant for former PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc.
