Political expert Vlad Kulminski is likely to form part of the future Government that will be formed by the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS). Following reports that Kulminski is the PAS’s candidates for the post of deputy prime minister for reintegration, he said that if he is offered a post in the Cabinet, he will accept it if the governmental team is a strong one and aims to change things in the country, IPN reports.

Sitting currently on the Supreme Security Council, Vlad Kulminski said the new governmental team will not be very different from the one with which Igor Grosu and Natalia Gavrilița came earlier to Parliament.

“There will be no great surprises. This Government in general will be similar to the two Governments that were earlier proposed by President Sandu and PAS. We will also see new names, persons who are not affiliated politically with PAS. We will have a new class of mangers who can efficiently govern the country,” Vlad Kulminski stated in the talk show “Emphasis on Today” on TVR Moldova channel.

Kulminski said that if he is offered to form part of the next executive, he will accept the proposal, but what is important is to have a team that wants to change things in the Republic of Moldova. No matter how good the ministry of economy and the ministry of justice are, one person cannot change anything and team spirit is very important here.

“I always give Georgia as example as there was a powerful team there and they all resonated with the same idea,” stated Vlad Kulminski.

According to him, PAS now needs upright professionals not only for the nine positions of minister, but also for the posts of secretary of state and agency head. Therefore, the party should co-opt professionals from other parties or from civil society.

“Now the Republic of Moldova has a unique chance to become a functional state. It has a huge chance to come closer to the European Union and has very big opportunities that will not exist during the next three-four generations. If PAS fails now, this will be the failure of the whole country. That’s why it would be normal for PAS to attract professionals to the new Cabinet,” said Kulminski.

The Central Election Commission transmitted the report on the snap parliamentary elections of July 11 to the Constitutional Court. On July 23, the High Court will take a decision as to the validations of elections. In accordance with the law, the newly elected Parliament comes together for the first sitting within 30 days of the validation date.
