The chairman of the PLDM Vlad Filat said the voters will penalize all those who do not want Moldova to move on and the people to live better. He made the statement in an interview for Moldpres Agency, referring to the Communist opposition, IPN reports.
“The Communists have always had a destructive and disrespectful attitude towards the country and its people. In 2009, they left a significant ‘inheritance’ – a country isolated at foreign level, with a budget deficit of over 8 billion lei and a nonfunctional economy close to bankruptcy. Today, we cannot say that everything is good, but, despite the existing problems, our country is surrounded by friends and has an efficient foreign policy,” stated Vlad Filat.
Speaking about Moldova’s external relations, Vlad Filat said the PCRM, while in power, pleaded for integration into the eastern organizations and then for democracy and European integration. “As a result, they caused Moldova to be on bad terms both with Russia and the European Union,” he stressed.
According to the Liberal-Democratic leader, the wish to cause chaos, to divide society and to involve the people in disputes is an element that characterizes the PCRM. He added that Moldova is now more determined than ever to follow the path to European integration and needs political stability to ensure sustainable economic growth that will generate new jobs.
