Vlad Filat to represent Moldova at Summit of CIS Heads of State

The Republic of Moldova will be represented by Prime Minister Vlad Filat at the Summit of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Info-Prim Neo reports. The meeting is hosted by Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat and starts on December 5. The delegation includes the secretary general of the Moldovan President’s apparatus Ion Paduraru, the presidential press service has said. President Nicolae Timofti cancelled a series of trips abroad scheduled for the next period, including the participation in the Ashgabat summit, following the death of his mother Elena Timofti.
