Former Romanian Premier Emil Boc believes that the pro-Europe forces in Moldova have the ability to win the elections or to form a government that will lead the county to the EU. He said that Vlad Filat should not consider his dismissal as the end of the world, Mediafax reported on its website, being quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “The fall of a government does not necessarily mean a tragedy. It is a democratic procedure that takes place in many countries. It is important that the fundamental orientation of Moldova, namely the direction to the EU, should not change. I think the Moldovans will not allow this to happen,” said Emil Boc. The former Premier also said that Moldova has a ‘European vocation’ and the common destiny of Romania and Moldova is in the EU. “We will be together there and I think the Moldovans will make sure that the country’s pro-European dimension is conserved, either if there is a new government or if there are held new elections,” he stated. The Filat 2 Government was dismissed by a censure motion that was passed by the votes of the Communist, Democratic and unaffiliated lawmakers.
