Vlad Filat meets with Vladimir Voronin

The chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat had a meeting with the leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin at the PCRM’s head office on October 4. The two leaders discussed the political situation in the country and the measures that must be taken to end the constitutional crisis, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the PLDM. Vlad Filat and Vladimir Voronin conferred on the methods of overcoming the constitutional crisis and agreed on the necessity of continuing the dialogue in order to identify a solution to the political stalemate, reads the communiqué. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the head of the Democratic parliamentary group Dumitru Diacov said he didn’t know about the meeting. “It is the first time I hear about it. It is good that they met. I hope they will tell us what they discussed,” he stated. The leader of the Liberal group Ion Hadarca said he didn’t know about the meeting either. Vlad Filat invited Vladimir Voronin to a dialogue in the name of the ruling alliance. But the Communist leader turned down the invitation, saying they will discuss with every member party of the alliance separately, not with the entire alliance.
