“Wishing to attack President Maia Sandu and the PAS, the holding of Plahotniuc and Shor, which joined Dodon’s camp together with its weapons and luggage, transformed me and the PLDM into a target even if neither I nor the party are election runners. I suggest that Dodon and Voronin, if they are not cowards and have arguments, should directly attack their electoral opponents,” said ex-Premier Vlad Filat, reacting to the protest mounted yesterday in Edineț against President Maia Sandu. The protesters also leveled their criticism at the previous activity of the former president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM).

“The perspective of losing the elections and the danger of appearing before judges made them openly restore the old Plahotniuc-Dodon-Voronin alliance with Shor as an artificial satellite. The coward fugitive Plahotniuc stays behind the Dodon-Voronin bloc and hopes that a PSRM-Communist victory will enable him to save not only his property but also his freedom for the sake of which he is wandering the world,” Vlad Filat posted on social media, being quoted by IPN.

“Regrettably, Dodon didn’t know to take the opportunity that the ACUM Bloc, of which the PLDM also formed part informally, offered to him in 2019: to get rid of Plahotniuc’s slavery. It turned out that the freedom is a too heavy burden and Dodon returned under Plahotniuc’s slavery like a beaten dog. In 2009, I and the PLDM beat Vladimir Voronin! In 2020, Maia Sandu –defeated Dodon. July 2021 now comes... and there are now the same losers of 2009 and 2020! Voronin and Dodon like losing together!”, said the politician.

“I hope my health will permit and in a public event soon I will present concrete data and information about the ”inheritance” left by Voronin and Dodon after eight years of Communist government (2001-2009): isolation, poverty and long lines at gates of embassies for visas at night and many others.”

On June 1, a group of persons protested in front of the Edineț District Council where President Maia Sandu was paying a working visit.
