Vlad Filat in favor of abandoning passport stamping procedures at border

Prime Minister Vlad Filat requested the head of the Border Guard Service Alexei Roibu to review the passport stamping procedures at the state border as they last too long, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Premier recommended studying the international norms so that the securitization process is not affected. If these procedures cannot be annulled, they should be at least replaced by simpler procedures that are less burdensome for the people. Vlad Filat praised the Border Guard Service and the Customs Service for their efforts to improve and simplify the border crossing procedures, stressing that there is yet a lot to do.
