Vlad Filat: I will not comment on nonsense

Prime Minister Vlad Filat, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, refused to comment on the allegations made by a young man, a participant in the April 2009 protests, who told a news conference on Thursday that the disturbances were planned by Filat's party in concert with the Liberal Party and the extinct Moldova Noastra Alliance. “I will not comment on nonsense and if someone has something to reveal about the April 7 events, then he should go to the Prosecutor's Office to submit testimony. That would be the right thing to do, both legally and morally”, said Vlad Filat. According to Eugen Mocanu, a young man who claimed to be among the instigators and organizers of disturbances in April 2009, Vlad Filat was one of the politicians who recruited young people to engage in rioting, supplying them with illegal drugs and alcohol.
