Prime Minister designate Vlad Filat had a meeting with the Liberal parliamentary group headed by Ion Hadarca in the evening of April 17, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Government, the meeting was held in such a format because the Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu announced earlier that they will not support the Cabinet and the government program that will be proposed by Vlad Filat.
The meeting forms part of the consultations that the Premier holds with the parliamentary groups and unaffiliated MPs with a view to gaining support for the new executive. The sides agreed to have more discussions so as to ensure efficient democratic governance in Moldova.
Vlad Filat must present his government program and the nominal composition of the Cabinet in Parliament by April 25. The new Government must garner 51 votes to be invested.
