Ex-Prime Minister Vlad Filat, who is held on remand, ended the hunger strike. The Department of Penitentiary Institutions said the politician gave up the strike at about 6pm on June 21, IPN reports.
Doctors of the Chisinau-based Penitentiary No. 13 described his state of health s satisfactory.
Vlad Filat had been on hunger strike for almost three weeks. He pleads not guilty of passive corruption and influence peddling.
