A series of discussions on the bills to reform the legal system submitted by the Ministry of Justice to the Government will take place next week, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said Saturday during the program “Public Life” at Radio Moldova.
The Premier expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that a number of related bills that were already approved by the executive have not been yet passed by the Parliament in final reading. “This worries me as we want a legal system that will do justice,” Vad Filat said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Asked why such a large sum of money was allocated to the legal system when the budget was adjusted (30 million lei – e.n.), Vlad Filat said 11 million lei of this sum will go to reconstruct the courts of law and this money comes from the sale of a building to the Embassy of Germany.
“Not only the judges and the persons who work in courts must have decent working conditions. Those who visit these institutions, the ordinary people, should also enjoy high standards,” Vlad Filat said. He added that more money was allotted for extending the period needed to switch to a private court decision implementation system and other acute necessities.
