The steps that should be taken following the decision of the first deputy chairman of the PLDM Iurie Leanca not to support the new government will be taken by the party, the Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat said after the sitting of Parliament. The politician said that Leanca’s decision to challenge the minority government is not clear to him as Leanca was ready to head this minority government not long ago. Vlad Filat also said that it is not the first time that his party colleague takes a decision unilaterally, IPN reports.

“When time comes to pronounce on the decisions, we will do this. We will have a discussion, as we always do, inside the party,” stated Vlad Filat.

The chairman of the PLDM referred also to MP Eugen Carpov’s decision not to vote for the Government, saying he does not understand it. Eugen Carpov is not a party member, but the PLDM offered him posts (Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration in the Leanca Government – e.n.) and included him in the list of candidates for MP.

“The Liberal Democratic Party is not a party in which we have two mentors or observers of the party’s work. The party has statutes that are based on elements of discipline as well,” stated the leader of PLDM.

The Government was invested by the votes of 60 MPs of the PLDM, PCRM and PDM on February 18. The new Cabinet wasn’t supported by the Socialist and Liberal MPs and by Iurie Leanca and Eugen Carpov.
