Vlad Batrîncea, the Party of Socialists’ candidate in uninominal constituency No 28 Chisinau municipality, said President Igor Dodon didn’t call on the people to vote for the PSRM in the parliamentary elections of February 24. According to him, no jurist will be able to show that President Dodon campaigned for the PSRM, IPN reports.
The statement was made following the Central Election Commission’s warning about the inadmissibility of becoming involved in the election campaign addressed to the presidential administration.
“If you analyze all his statements made recently, even during his visits to districts, you can see that he never called on the people to vote for the Party of Socialists and didn’t name this party or the ‘star’ symbol of this party. He organizes his discussions very attentively. That’s why no jurist, no member of the Central Election Commission will be able to show where exactly President Igor Dodon campaigned in favor of the Socialists,” stated Vlad Batrîncea.
As to the accusations made against the Party of Socialists and Igor Dodon in the recent past, Vlad Batrîncea said these are coordinated by one center and everything is done in an organized way.
