Deputy Parliament Speaker Alexandru Slusari, of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, said that after the state of emergency is lifted, his parliamentary group will do its best to dismiss the Government led by Ion Chicu. On the other hand, Deputy Parliament Speaker Vlad Batrîncea, of the Party of Socialists, considers there are no reasons for dismissing the Government and there is only a big wish to remove this, IPN reports.

“There are a lot of Democratic MPs who are not satisfied with what is going on in the party and there is a tendency there. It’s hard for me to say what will happen, but I can say that we want the Government to be removed. If there is the possibility, immediately after the pandemic is overcome, we will submit a no-confidence motion and will do our best to dismiss this Government,” Alexandru Slusari stated in the talk show “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel.

Even if the Government’s dismissal is wanted, Alexandru Slusari admits that it could be hard to appoint a new government. “It won’t be easy, but we cannot allow this general staff of Mister Dodon in this socioeconomic situation that is not correctly managed from our viewpoint...”.

Returning to the defections from the Democrat Party of Moldova, Alexandru Slusari said many of the Democratic MPs didn’t want to vote in favor of the Russian agreement and the amendments to the budget.” I saw with my own eyes that the Democratic Party made considerable effort to oblige the MPs to vote. Only 18 of the 22 voted and I know for sure that half of those 18 didn’t want to vote.”

Socialist MP Vlad Batrîncea said the MPs of the ACUM Bloc banks on Andrian Candu and Ilan Shor in the removal of the Government

“We know what steps were taken in relation to the Constitutional Court to obtain those acts. They were coordinated actions. As to the dismissal of the Government, I understand the opposition as it should exist and should make the government work actively. When there is no opposition, the government does not work appropriately. But there are particular limits and principles as to who talks can be held with and who can vote together with someone. There is now only a big wish to dismiss the Government. Why? Only for political interests,” stated the MP.
