The veterans of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS), although they have an active social life, are disregarded, considers Vitalie Palega, the civil society’s representative in the Integrity Council, who was proposed by war veterans of the SIS special services.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, Vitalie Palega said that the SIS veterans were promised that their length of service will be calculated as three days for one day upon retirement, and also that the received salaries will be multiplied by three. “In the end, it turned out that the promised 3 is multiplied by zero and it is still zero,” noted Vitalie Palega.

The representative of civil society insists that the problems faced by the veterans of the SIS special services can be solved here and now. In this connection, he calls on the SIS to accept the holding of a meeting with the participation of war veterans in order to resume the dialogue on this subject and jointly find solutions to the existing problems.

In another development, Vitalie Palega said that the National Integrity Authority and the Integrity Council are corrupt institutions that are inefficient and useless. In his opinion, the situation can be remedied if the two entities are liquidated and their duties are taken over by the State Tax Service.
