The chairwoman of the Liberal National Party, Vitalia Pavlicenco, has resigned as chair of the political party. She was appointed chair at the IV Congress of the PNL, on October 25, 2015. The politician said that she ceases to exercise the duties of chairperson because her term comes to an end and due to family reasons, which do not allow her to act as interim chair until the next session of congress.

In a message on the PNL website, it is said that the position of interim chiar will be held by another leadership member of the party, until the next congress.

Vitalia Pavlicenco said that she has promoted the message of reunification with Romania since she became chair. "At the end of my tenure and the term of the management team, which was elected four years ago, we observe with satisfaction that several political entities have embraced the same statutory unionist objective.

"The politician expressed her gratitude "to those who were, but are no longer in the PNL, to those who remained and are members and supporters of the PNL, to those who have always contributed to the amplification and strengthening of the unionist movement", said Vitalia Pavlicenco.
