“In the mirror of instants”, the book mirroring the profound philosophy of composer Eugen Doga on the world is launched Monday at the National Museum “George Enescu” in Romania. A Romanian Governmental advisor for the management of relations for Moldova, Iuliana Gorea-Costin, has told Info-Prim Neo the autobiography is also a reference document for the history of the Romanian heritage all over the world.
The volume, appeared in exceptional graphical conditions, contains hundreds of aphorisms inserted in memoirs and an album of unique pictures, descriptive of the work and life of the big composer Eugen Doga, declared jointly with other 100 world personalities as a Man of the Millennium.
According to Iuliana Gorea-Costin, the book is a visit card of the Romanian from Basarabia, who has made many efforts in seeking for himself, for the national identity and who has managed to assert himself on the world's stages.
“In the mirror of instants” is part of the “Destine” series of the Romanian National Library and of the Library of the Romanian Academy. Its preface is written by Romania's former president Emil Constantinescu, who awarded the master the Mihai Eminescu medal.
A concert conducted by Eugen Doga, dedicated to the Great Union of 1918, staged at the Romanian Athenaeum on May 31, 2008, lies at the foundation of the book.
It was published in 2,000 copies, as each has a CD with selections from the master's works.
The event is attended by renowned personalities and as its patron is Romanian premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu.
