Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said she is being treated for COVID-19 in Moldova, not in Germany, as it has been reported, IPN reports.
“An increasing number of news articles about my stay in Germany where I purportedly receive treatment for COVID-19 are circulated. I declared earlier that I follow the treatment prescribed by doctors of the Republic of Moldova, with full confidence in their professionalism and hope that I will beat COVID-19. I’m receiving treatment here, at home, and I regret that fake news is being disseminated as this only denigrates and discourages the efforts of doctors who, by their work, struggle for the life of each patient,” the minister posted on a social networking site.
On August 29, Viorica Dumbrăveanu announced that she got infected with the novel coronavirus and is receiving treatment at home.
