Viorel Frunza: I will play for national team every time I will be called

Footballer Viorel Frunza is decided to play for the national squad of Moldova every time he will be asked to despite the conflict with the president of the Moldovan Football Federation Pavel Cebanu. At a news conference held at Info-Prim Neo on January 19, Viorel Frunza said that for every footballer it is an honor to play for the national team as it includes the best players. “We all come with the open heart and want to show that we are a good team that wants to do something for this country,” Frunza said. Presently, Viorel Frunza, who has signed a contract with the Romanian team CFR Cluj valid for another 1.5 years, is looking for a team. “I could stay at the second team of CFR, train and receive salary for a year, but I want to play,” the footballer said. “I will try to find work. If I find something I transfer to another team, if not – I go back to Cluj,” Frunza said, adding that he has several offers, but they are not yet definite. Though ready to play for Moldova’s national team, Frunza would not return now for the internal championship because the conditions for footballers in Moldova are inappropriate. Viorel Frunza was selected to play for the national squad for many times. Previously, he played for Agro Chisinau, Zimbru Chisinau, Dacia Chisinau and FC Vaslui. Since 2007, he has played for CFR Cluj as well as for Ceahlaul, PAOK FC and Spartak Nalchik.
