Violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja will draw international attention to vulnerable children in Moldova

The representative office of the Swiss foundation “Terre des hommes” in Moldova wants to engage the Swiss public in supporting the efforts aimed at protecting the children in Moldova. The action is part of a campaign themed “Music for the Children” and is held on the occasion of the 53rd Menuhin Music Festival that will take place in the Swiss town of Gstaad between June 17 and September 15. Moldova’s delegate to this festival is the violinist of Moldovan origin Patricia Kopatchinskaja - the emissary of “Terre des hommes”, the organization says in a communiqué, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Patricia Kopatchinskaja will be in Moldova from 24 to 28 June. On June 25, she will travel to Soroca to see the activities carried out as part of the FACT Project (Help the Country’s Children) and meet children and the district public authorities. On June 26, Kopatchinskaja and participants in the Menuhin Music Festival will take part in the Music for the Children Gala that will be held as part of the 15th International Classical Music Festival “Eugen Coca”. On June 27, the Gala of FACT activities will take place in the Public Garden “Stephan the Great” in Chisinau. It will be attended by about 600 children and adults from Soroca, Ungheni and villages of the municipality of Chisinau.
