Violent detainee attacks guard of Penitentiary No. 13

A guard of the Chisinau-based Penitentiary No. 13 was attacked by a 33-year-old detainee, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Department of Penitentiary Institutions. The prisoner, who was being escorted to the walking area, tried to transmit several notes to a cell in the same sector. The female guard told him to step away from the door of that cell. The man put up resistance, threatening the woman with physical harassment. Afterward, he pushed her towards the wall, injuring her hand. Employees of the Centru Police Commissariat will investigate the given case. A similar case happened at the end of April, when a prisoner attacked an employee of Penitentiary No.9 in Pruncul with a kitchen knife, stabbing him in the neck.
