Violations identified at Chisinau education divisions

A report by the Internal Audit Division of the Chisinau City Hall shows the Centru and Rascani education divisions committed violations as they bought tools for repair works at a twice higher price, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the report, paint was purchased for 144 lei at a time when it cost between 51 and 76 lei on the market. The linoleum was also bought at a twice higher price. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca sought explanations from the division heads. In this connection, he stated that the tender contests for supplying goods to education institutions are held with violations. By three companies invited by the organizers of the contest are invited to bid. Their tenders are the same and contain practically the same grammatical mistakes. “The audit report shows once again that the civil servants do illegal business,” said the mayor. Dorin Chirtoaca announced that a meeting with education division heads and school and kindergarten heads will be held this week to discuss the audit report sand the identified violations.
