A video guidebook teaching how to determine the salaries of budget-funded employees was launched by the Ministry of Finance on its official website. The guide is designed to help employers and accountants of public authorities and budget-funded institutions and also employees of these entities, who can familiarize themselves with the new remuneration conditions defined in the law on the common salary system in the budgetary sector, IPN reports.

According to the Center of Information Technology in Finance, the guidebook is presented as a normative framework that regulates the remuneration of budget-funded employees, the actions that must be taken by employers to implement the law on the salary system in the budgetary sector, components of the salary, guarantees enjoyed by employees and two examples of how to calculate the basic salary.

Those who meet with difficulties in implementing the law on the salary system in the budgetary sector can ask for consultative support on the special telephone line 0 8000 1525 (button 6) of the Call Center of the Center of Information Technology in Finance. The calls are free and can be made from aby mobile or landline phone from Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.

The calls are registered and transmitted by the Call Center’s operators to specialists of the Ministry of Finance who later answer the questions and provide explanations to those interested.

The law on the common salary system in the budgetary sector took effect on December 1, 2018. It applies to about 200,000 salary earners from 2,700 public authorities and budget-funded institutions.
