Current European judo champion Victor Sterpu has won two victories at the Doha World Judo Masters 2021, IPN reports.
He beat Behruzi Khojazoda of Tajikistan and Tohar Butbul of Israel in the 73 kg weight class. Before this, Butbul scored a victory against 2012 Olympic champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili of Georgia. Later, Victor Sterpu lost to Antoine Bouchard of Canada and Igor Wandtke of Germany, who will compete in the small final.
One day earlier, Denis Vieru ranked fifth at the Doha Masters.
