Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov asked the European and U.S. partners to provide support in adequately laying down the specific parameters concerning the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, on the basis of Moldova's sovereignty and territorial integrity, in the documents of the OSCE summit held in Astana, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Reintegration Office. The Moldovan official pleaded for the complete withdrawal of the Russian troops from Moldova's territory. He had a series of consultations on the issue with foreign officials representing the countries that take part in the talks in the 5+2 format, in particular the EU, the U.S. and Russia. The bilateral meetings focused on the cooperation between Moldova and the mentioned states, the political developments in Moldova, the results of the November 28 elections and issues related to the OSCE summit. The foreign partners approved of the way the legislative elections were conducted in Moldova and said they will support the Moldovan authorities in their European integration efforts. A meeting of GUAM foreign ministers was held on the sidelines of the summit. Moldova was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Popov. The meeting discussed the cooperation between the GUAM member states in such areas as trade, transport and social sphere and within international organizations, it is said in the communique.
