Victor Gurau, Chisinau councilman on behalf of the Communist Party, says he intends to run for Mayor.
Speaking at a talk-show on Realitatea TV, Gurau said he wrote to the Communist Party's Executive Committee requesting it to consider nominating him as the party's candidate in the 2015 local elections.
However, Gurau said he was “somehow skeptical” that the Communists would endorse him, because he was not a party member.
At the same talk-show, Victor Gurau gave himself as an example of how the other municipal councilors ought to be and even prayed to God that all the councilors were just like him.
So far, incumbent Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca and former Mayor Serafim Urechean have also expressed intentions to run for Chisinau's mayoral seat.
