Police lieutenant-colonel Victor Alexeev, ex-deputy commissioner of Tighina town, said that he and his colleagues are disappointed in the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” and are decided to create another platform, called “Justice and Truth”. The announcement was made in a news conference at IPN.
Victor Alexeev stated that initially he supported the actions of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” and agreed with its demands, but the members of this platform showed their dignity at a certain moment. “During a year, we understood that this Platform had a plan to dishonor the unionists legally formed government. It will be called the Platform “Justice and Truth”,” he said.
The platform that is to be created will first of all demand that the stolen US$1billion should be returned. “We call on the prosecutor general to hasten the investigation so that all those to blame are held accountable. The immunity of all the involved MPs should be removed, regardless of the party of which they form part, so that they are investigated,” said the lieutenant-colonel.
Among the demands is to ensure the energy interconnection with Romania as this will help resolve the economic crisis and will lead to a decrease of 25-30% in the electricity tariffs. “We demand that the works to build the Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline should be unblocked as this pipeline will help us reduce the risks of blackmail on the part of Russia. When we receive gas from Romania, this will be by 30% cheaper,” stated Victor Alexeev.
The government is also asked to regain the people’s confidence and to create an interstate Moldova-Romania council that will involve the Presidents and Prime Ministers of the two states. This would identify solutions to the joint problems. “We also demand that the media space should be cleared of propaganda and that the foreign TV channels that cause the situation to destabilize should be deprived of broadcast licenses,” said Victor Alexeev.
The veterans who gave the news conference said that Moldova faces a hybrid war, while the Russian army that is being camouflaged under the term of ‘peacekeepers’ in the Security Zone is only waiting for a spark to attack Chisinau. Those who protest have the matches and thus cause destabilization.
