Events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the pogrom against the Jews of Chisinau will be held on April 20 and 21.
In Botanica sector, a Tel Aviv-themed underground passage will be inaugurated and a concert devoted to the drama of the Chisinau Jews will be held.
On April 20, the City Museum of History will host a thematic exhibition. On the same day, the documentary concert "Requiem" will be presented at the Palace of the Republic.
On April 21, in the Alunelul Park, a commemorative event will take place. Also on Friday, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled on the building of the Russian Dramatic Theater "A. P. Chekhov", which once accommodated the Choral Synagogue.

The anti-Jewish pogrom took place in Chisinau on April 6-8, 1903 (or April 19-21, per the Julian calendar). At that time, 110 thousand people lived in the capital of Bessarabia, a governorate of the Russian Empire, of whom 50 thousand were Jews.
