The Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova is paying a two-day working visit to Moldova. On Tuesday, the official will have a business lunch with President Maia Sandu and will later have meetings with Speaker Igor Grosu, MPs who form part of the parliamentary friendship group with Bulgaria, and Prime Minister Dorin Recean, IPN reports.
The Moldovan presidential administrator said that on Wednesday, Maia Sandu and Iliana Iotova will travel to Taraclia town. There, the officials will take part in the ceremony to unveil a monument to the national hero of Bulgaria Vasil Levski and will visit the Multicultural Youth Center “Vasil Levski”, where they will discuss with students of four lyceums based in Taraclia.
Vice President Iliana Iotova’s visit was timed to coincide with the Day of Bessarabian Bulgarians marked on October 29 and Bulgaria’s National Enlighteners Day observed on November 1, when the Bulgarians celebrate the national identity and spirituality.
