Verbal war within AIE continues

The tensions within the governing alliance continue. Today, July 5, the Minister of Economy, Valeriu Lazar, labeled the Liberal-Democrat Veaceslav Ionita a “buffoon”. In turn, the latter suggested Lazar to resign, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I can’t understand this man. Wherever he goes, he has to make noise. I told him: Veaceslav, if you are an expert, be an expert in a certain area, not in all. In a democratic country, I have all the rights to sue him for defaming my public image”, Valeriu Lazar told a press conference. However, he didn’t explain how exactly his image was defamed. Asked by reporters to comment on Lazar’s statements, Ionita declared himself not interested in the minister’s frustrations. “What really matters for me is the public interest and I don't want people to feel like prisoners of the state. I want public institutions to work the good of the people. I remind Mister Lazar he’s in the position to be judged by people, including my humble person. If he claims to be an officer, let him resign before he is sacked. My demand to Mister Lazar is pretty clear, I want him to resign”, said Veaceslav Ionita.
