A special vehicle of “Autosalubritate” cleanup service skidded off the road, hit a fence and knocked down a utility pole on a street in the capital city. According to the municipal company, the driver lost control of the steering wheel as he purportedly felt sick and the special vehicle moved backwards, crashing into a car that was coming behind, IPN reports.

“Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident. Our colleague was urgently taken by an ambulance to the hospital and was offered medical care. He was subject to medical examinations and is now out of any danger,” said the company’s administration.

The driver has worked for the company for several months and has four years of experience as an ambulance driver. Before starting his duties, the driver passed the ordinary medical check-up and no health problems were identified.

The company said the special vehicle involved in the accident was purchased in 2018.
