The Republic of Moldova is now in a not very good financing situation. This is due to a number of factors, such as the political context and the reduced capacity to identify priorities, economic expert Veaceslav Ionita stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
According to him, while in Chisinau on a visit, European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu spoke about regional development. “The Republic of Moldova should now negotiate the support for regional development especially with the European Union,” said the expert, noting that Moldova, together with the European Commissioner, should identify new regional development priorities.
Editorialist Nicolae Negru noted that nothing notable can be achieved in regional development if the money is not redistributed. “Everything is gathered in Chisinau. All the enterprises are here. Chisinau should make particular sacrifices,” he stated, adding that a strategy and political perseverance are needed for regional development.
