The third Veaceslav Gojan Cadets Boxing Cup was held in Grimăncăuţi. The tournament involved 55 pugilists from Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine, IPN reports.
The small boxers from Briceni district won nine medals and the winners included Veaceslav Gojan’s son Daniel.
Veaceslav Gojan recently withdrew from sport. He won bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games and is the only Moldovan boxer who became European champion.
