Boxer Vasile Cebotari became European junior vice champion. He reached the final of the 54 kg weight class competition, where he lost to Russia’s Vsevolod Shumkov, IPN reports.
Cebotari trains in Tiraspol under the guidance of Anatoly Dovgopol. Vladislav Gudzi, another boxer from Tiraspol who is trained by Veaceslav Utica, won bronze at the European Junior Championships in Bulgaria. He competed in the 60 kg class.
Vitalie Prisacaru from Balti won bronze. The pupil of Igor Pupkov and Alexandru Curosul took part in the 48 kg competition. At the European Junior Championships in Bulgaria, Moldova was represented by ten boxers.
