Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov has told IPN that during his visit to Moscow they discussed the results presented by the experts who visited Moldova and the institution of a system for ensuring the safety and quality of the alcoholic beverages exported to Russia.
On October 18, the minister met with the head of the Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishechenko, together with Moldova’s Ambassador to Russia Andrei Galbur. “It is now important to continue the communication. We agreed the future actions concerning the resumption of Moldovan wine exports to Russia,” said Vasile Bumacov.
He avoided saying when a new meeting will take place and if Russian experts and Moldovan ones will pay more visits.
On September 10, Russia imposed a ban on the imports of Moldovan wine.
