Young and elderly people came to the traditional Christmas concert organized by the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau to listen to valuable classical works by German composers sung by Moldovan musicians and singers. On December 8, the Organ Hall was crowded with lovers of classical music, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Carsten Wilms, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Chisinau, said the concert became a tradition in Moldova and is waited for with ardor by the devoted spectators every year.
”This year, the recital will consist of known works that are designed to cheer up the people before Christmas,” said Carsten Wilms.
The tenth concert involved conductor and soloist Cristian Florea from the National Chamber Orchestra, violinists Maria Florea and Lola Croitoru, organ player Anna Strezeva, and soprano Mariana Bilicanu.
There were performed classical pieces of music composed by Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Albinoni, Sarasate, Rahmaninov, Anderson, Piazzolla, and Strauss.
The concert lasted for over an hour. Entrance was free of charge.
