The vice president of the Democratic Party Valeriu Lazar, in Pro TV Chisinau's program “In Profunzime” on Monday evening, said the generous offer of the PCRM shows that this party accepted the governance formula where every component of the coalition has the status of partner, not of younger or elder brother, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The partners in the future coalition will not be marginalized and there will be no danger of monopolization. There will be excluded the shortcomings that existed within the Alliance for European Integration and certain conflicts of interest. We want to find a sustainable government formula for four years. We are consistent and we told the voters this – we want a political dialogue aimed at overcoming the political instability,” Valeriu Lazar said.
He also said that it is normal for those who have the largest number of seats of MP to make generous offers. The PCRM wants a stable and democratic Government and thus made a definite offer, Lazar said, without elaborating. He stressed the PDM is ready to form a coalition with those who will regard it as a partner, not from positions of power. “We went through such a sad experience while part of the former ruling alliance,” Lazar said.
In the same program, the first vice president of the PLDM Alexandru Tanase said that all the discontents should be forgotten. “We must try and find common points so as to unite the forces as the danger of the Communists returning to power still persists,” he stated.
Alexandru Tanase reminded that in 2005, the Communists Party accepted principles that they did not respect. “During eight years, Vladimir Voronin had transformed Moldova into a jail, suppressed the freedom of expression, destroyed the political system and built up a system that has nothing in common with democracy. It is hard to imagine how the same Voronin can ensure the functioning of democratic institutions,” he said.
According to Tanase, the impact of a possible coalition with the PCRM should not be neglected. “On April 7, 2009 we had a kind of social explosion. Now we risk facing a mass exodus of the young people from the country as they do not want to see again Vladimir Nicolaevich (Voronin) and his company in power,” he stated.
