Minister of Economy from the Republic of Moldova, Valeriu Lazar, denies that the Govern offered strategic energetic estate in order to preserve the prices for natural gasses delivered to Moldova. Lazar declared this on Saturday, 6th of April, at the Parliamentary meeting, Info-Prim Neo notes. According to the cited source, the Government proposed to the Russian concern Gazprom to transfer a part of the income resulted from selling natural gases for investing in the energetic estate of Moldova. The Minister said that the proposal is only at the stage of an idea, which was accepted by Gazprom, being pleased of the investment regime in the Republic of Moldova. Lazar stated that the Government informed the Russian concern about the fact that Moldova has no alternative sources of own natural gasses and can not be compared with the countries that cover a part of their needs with own resources. He said that because of these conditions the price has to cover the profit of the deliveries. At the same time the price should depend on the buying capacity of the market. The Government and Gazprom, said Lazar, decided that for Moldova 110 dollars is a bigger price then consumers could pay, so another increase would generate losses for MoldovaGaz. Lazar declared that he has more arguments for obtaining an acceptable price but he won’t reveal them because of the confidentiality clause, agreed with Gazprom. The Minister said that the tariffs for consumers will not change in the next 3 months or even until the end of the year. At the end of the March Republic of Moldova signed a new 3-months agreement with the administration of Gazprom regarding the natural gasses delivery at a price set to 110 dollars for 1000 cube metres. Gazprom informed that Moldavian part made new proposals upon the collaboration in the energetic field.
