It’s time for the political class of Moldova to become mature and for the parties to promote a mature political class, but should not speculate on the needs of the people to promote narrow interests. Even if some of the politicians profit from the problems faced by Moldova, at a certain moment all the parties, whether they are in the government or in the opposition, should combine forces to meet the needs of the people, Democratic MP Valentina Buliga said in the public debate “Conditions and specific features of Parliament’s spring-summer session” that was staged by IPN News Agency and Radio Moldova.

The MP noted that there segregation of Moldovan society, which became deeper, concerns her. Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc’s proposal concerning the reformation of the political class is designed to bring to an end the political struggles and barricades so that people’s needs become the key priority. Despite the exiting manipulation, including about the geopolitical course, the parties should find the national idea in the needs of the people and unite around them even if each of them will promote the own political doctrine.

According to him, the political parties, no matter whether they are in the government or opposition, should be united when it is about social problems, living conditions, health and economy. They haven’t managed to do this for now.

In another development, Valentina Buliga underlined the importance of continuing investigating the bank fraud and holding accountable those to blame because the needs of the people are very great and the authorities are taking steps in this regard. Each MP during the current parliamentary session must make considerable effort as there is no more time to lose.

The public debate “Conditions and specific features of Parliament’s spring-summer session” is the 70th installment of the series of debates “Developing political culture by public debates” that are staged with support from the Hanns Seidel Foundation of Germany.
